Sports floor types
The four major types of sports flooring
(compared according to DIN V 18032-2; April 2001)
Aside from manufacturer-specific properties, there are basically two types of sports flooring: area-elastic and point-elastic sports floors. In between, there are the hybrid forms of combined-elastic and mixed-elastic constructions. The difference lies in the deformation properties and the effects on the suitability for the particular building.
Area-elastic sports floor
Resilient, deflection-resistant floor with large deformation control area.
Due to their flexible application possibilities and the resulting high economic efficiency, area-elastic sports floors are becoming increasingly popular. The principle of area-elastic sports floors is perfect for almost any property and is therefore the preferred solution of HARO SPORTS.
Mixed-elastic sports floor
Resilient, flexible floor with area-reinforcing component. The deformation control area is small but clearly extends over the load-bearing area.
Combined-elastic sports floor
Area-elastic floor with a point-elastic top layer. The deformation control area is large in the area of the load-distribution layer; in the area of the top layer it is closely adapted to the load-bearing area.
Point-elastic sports floor
Resilient, flexible floor with deformation control area closely adapted to the load-bearing area.
